SELECTION OVERVIEW
Confirm the duty before confirming the model.
Shanghai Shangcheng Pump & Valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd. supplies the QBX air operated diaphragm pump for industrial liquid-transfer duties reviewed against the actual medium and installation. Select the proposed QBX configuration using the required liquid flow and discharge pressure together with available compressed-air pressure and supply capacity. Do not substitute QBY model data for the QBX selection.
A compressor pressure reading alone does not establish the air available at the pump during operation. Provide the pressure and delivery capacity at the installation point, the air-line arrangement and whether other equipment shares the supply. Confirm air consumption for the proposed operating point from the selected QBX documentation; do not treat air pressure and liquid discharge pressure as interchangeable specifications.
INFORMATION REQUIRED
- Liquid name, concentration, temperature, viscosity and specific gravity
- Solids content, maximum particle size, fibers and abrasive characteristics
- Minimum, normal and maximum liquid flow; normal and maximum discharge pressure
- Tank level, suction lift or inlet pressure, suction pipe length and diameter
- Available compressed-air pressure and delivery capacity at the pump
- Required body, diaphragm, ball, seat and other wetted-material compatibility
- Connection size and standard, operating hours, quantity and destination

- Air supply quality and capacity directly affect output.
- Body, ball, seat and diaphragm materials must all match the liquid.
- Actual flow falls as discharge pressure and viscosity increase.
